Sit With You Sit With You
You were sitting there across the room/ People were always by your side/ I wondered if you noticed me/ I wondered if maybe I stuck out in the crowd/ You seem so out of my league/ But still, I just have to ask .
(Chorus) Hey, can I sit with you/ Do you mind if I sit right here/ I couldn't help but notice you/ And I want to talk to you/ You probably think I'm crazy/ But there's nothing I'd like better/ Than to sit with you .
You were sitting there in that bed/ A little baby in your arms/ Your smile was so big/ Your eyes were filled with joy/ I had to smile when you laughed/ Now I can't help but think/
here's what she said about this piece:
"I wrote this song after a visit with my grandpa, who has Alzheimer's . My mom had visited him the previous day and had found him eating his lunch between to elderly ladies; so when she and I went to visit him the next day, my mom teased him about it and asked him if he enjoyed it.
His response was this: "It was nice, but the one lady I wanted to sit with wasn't there.".
Even though he never remembers anything he has just done, he still remembers his deceased wife and he still really, truly loves her. I don't think that there is a love more beautiful than that."

Counting SLeepless HoursI witnessed the system fail:thumb251666670:
As the light crossing your face laid dead
A grayscale color of the wings
Hair dim in shine, strong in thread
Take my heart from its sealed entrance
Open the door with scalpel precision
Scrawl the message on the flesh
Leave the carcass to sever its division
Peace is hard to find inside your heart
And impossible for me to understand
Can I wake up in your arms?
And you can steal my soul for the price?
